JumpTech Management Team

John Freund, President & CEO

John Freund is President and CEO of Jump Technologies. He joined the company in 2000 and envisioned a broader market application for its products. Along with CTO Steve Craig, Freund transformed the company from a technology company to one with a product family that today is used by 10,000 companies.

Under Freund’s leadership, JumpTech has also formed several significant strategic partnerships with such entities as a $90 million distributor in the health care industry and two major wholesalers in the office supply market, which has lead to distribution with over 200 dealers.

Freund has more than 25 years of IT experience, primarily helping start-up companies introduce new technologies to the market. Most notably, he was co-founder of ShowCase Corporation, which provided business intelligence and data warehousing tools. As Vice President of Sales and Marketing, he helped grow the company to over $40 million in sales. ShowCase went public in 1999 with a market cap of $90 million and was later acquired by SPSS (now part of IBM).

Freund has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Winona State University in Minnesota. He was named Distinguished Young Alumni in 2008.

Freund remains connected to his alma mater as founder and chairman of Stage One Group. This organization connects Winona students with business mentors to help entrepreneurs launch companies.

Harley Handegard is the CFO of Jump Technologies and is responsible for all financial and accounting aspects of the company. As the company has grown, he has worked closely on shareholder matters for JumpTech’s current private investors and interested outside entities.

He has served as CFO of other privately held companies in the Twin Cities, including JobDig, Inc., a Minneapolis-based provider of multimedia employment advertising services. As its CFO, Handegard helped JobDig secure preferred stock financing from institutional investors in 2007 and an additional round of funding in late 2010.

For 25 years, Handegard has been directly involved in raising over $31 million of equity and debt capital for growing businesses. His insights help companies adapt to the realities of a volatile economy, especially in the boom/bust/recovery cycles of the technology industry. As an expert in the financial management, Handegard has extensive experience in developing long- and short-range financial plans.

Handegard has a degree in business administration from the University of Minnesota and is a licensed CPA in Minnesota.
